O projeto como elemento de regeneração urbana da cidade

Abstract

A presente dissertação surge na resposta à necessidade de intervir na zona das Fontainhas, para adotar a construção de uma residência sénior. A área de intervenção encontra-se atualmente marcada pela sua envolvente histórica, rasgada por um viaduto desenvolvido nos anos 70. Num contexto temporal que se estende até desde a idade do bronze aos dias de hoje, pretende-se um olhar atento sobre a evolução urbana que forjou e dotou de importância os elementos que marcam e caracterizam a zona de intervenção. O principal objetivo passa por definir os princípios a aplicar à proposta e a sua consequente realização mas não sem antes definir o conceito de regeneração urbana. Seguidamente estudar outros casos e perceber como foram desenvolvidos para que no final exemplifiquem as intenções do projeto realizado pela disciplina de Projeto 5.

The present dissertation arises in response to the need to intervene in the Fontainhas area to adopt the construction of a senior residence. The area of intervention is currently marked by its historical surroundings, torn by a viaduct developed in the 70's. In a temporal context that extends from the Bronze Age to the present day, a careful look at the urban evolution that forged and endowed with importance the elements that mark and characterize the zone of intervention. The main objective is to define the principles to be applied to the proposal and its consequent realization but not without first defining the concept of urban regeneration. Then study other cases and see how they were developed so that in the end they exemplify the intentions of the project carried out by Project 5.
